Title: Installing my new nailbomb set!
Post by: subete on May 14, 2005, 07:54:20 PM
Yes. And i've never installed one before so im a tad confused. Can anyone talk it through with me? I have a 5 way selector switch with coil tapping in positions 2 and 4.

The pups are both supposedly 4 wire ones. But theres a random metal wire there too. I dunno if its just there for soldering or what. tips kids please!

our code is:
Black: screw start
White: screw finish
Red: slug start
Green: slug finish
the bare wire is grounded to the back of a pot as rsterren said.

Tim is on a well deserved break this weekend and wont be back in the workshop monday afternoon, give us a ring then and we can talk you through it.
FELINEGUITARS may be able to help you with this one. He's installed our pickups in lots of guitars!

the springs go on the mounting screws when you mount them on the guitar.

give your guitar tec the colour code tomorrow and he should know where everything goes.
Tim usually deals with wiring problems, but like I said hes away at the moment. It is hard to say where everything goes without having the guitar infront of you to look at.
If you still have problems after tomorrow give us a ring on monday afternoon when tim is back.
