Slayer have too (again with Vans).

Some of the thrash bands were sponsored by clothing companies - Vision Streetwear and Vans were on liner notes back in the day.

I bet the kids that frequent the tattoo shop down the road will have 'em. The ones with perfect cup cake tattoos and big dangly ears with massive holes in.

haha no. Actual cupcakes, yes. It has taken over from the death mask tats which took over from the carp tats. I wonder what's next.

Cupcakes?  WTF?  My tattoos are old school '80s band artwork ... Celtic Frost, Ratos de Porao ... getting a Repulsion tattoo in a couple of weeks from now ... maybe we need a tattoo thread where people can out themselves as having tasteless or cliched tattoos, LOL

Carp, cupcakes, stars, swallows, dragons, kanji ... there are lots of cliched tattoos.  I guess they are better than ones of spouse's/children's/dead friends's names or long script passages though

Haha I may be guilty of a cliché tattoo as I have a pirate ship on my leg and am finishing the rest of the half sleeve off with a piratey theme as well :) my other one at the moment is an octopus with a top hat, handlebar moustache, monocle and a cup of tea. Love what I have so far!

My tattooist had tribal tattoos on his forearms, having gotten them really early on.  Then after years of putting them on bouncers/bodybuilders he hated them so much he went over both whole forearms in black!!  It looked pretty bad, but recently he's had a friend start doing these cool ghostlike designs over it using white ink which have improved the appearance a lot.

I tend to think women have more cliched tattoos in general than men do.  Not sure why, but a lot of them have the same stuff which looks like it comes out of a catalogue.  Especially those stars and swallows.

Not always, my mate who did my tattoos is covered in them and they're mostly awesome apart from the one on his chest which he's getting lasered off!
