So Im a total guitar newb and I need some BKP suggestions and advice.
I run a studio and I want to upgrade the pickups in my G&L ASAT Deluxe and my Epiphone Les Paul (both pictured). I would like both guitars to be an option for bands to use if they want. I also play in a band thats sounds like The Dear Hunter and newer Thrice. I need pickups that are very musically versatile (beautiful, defined cleans and clear defined crunch and leads). So let me know great options for neck and bridge.
Im also upgrading all electronics too. So any advice on that as well would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time to respond!

i would definitely fit one of them will some humbucker sized p90s. since they are both humbucker guitars, it would make them a little different. maybe some Mississippi Queens

I very much agree with that. At least in the neck spot of one of them this would be really, really great. I personally am also a big fan of bridge P90s, but it is a less save bet for people to like than in the neck position. And a proper HB bridge / P90 neck position is incredible.
For the guitar that is middier (and/or muddier)I would go with the P90. I right now cannot make up my mind about what to best pair with the neck besides a P90 bridge so IŽll sleep on that one. But a MQ set is something that will convince a lot of people if they actually try it. Bloody brilliant pickup.
And if you wanne go Studio and versatile the other one would have to pretty much be Riff Raff bridge and Mule neck. Versatile beyond believe, fromclean, to crunch, to heavy, and oozing goodnes. Really a no brainer to have one of the two fitted with those.

I agree, maybe a MuleN+RiffRaffB and MississippiQueenN+ANailbombB.

There are many options. When it comes to beautiful defined cleans I would certainly put a Muies-set in the EPI.
Mules can also handle loads of gain with authority.
The idea of P90's is appealing, it depends on the question if the OP can live with some P90-hum in a studio-situation. For the Asat perhaps a Nantucket-neck, in combination with a Crawler-bridge (which has also good splitted sounds). Or when is has to be a more contemporary tone a Holy Diver for the bridge.
