I have a few connections with Kiev - I have friends there and some people that work for me.

Terrible scenes there yesterday - the first time I think I've ever seen actual shootings shown on the BBC.

They have a long and painful road ahead of them, I think...

 :(

They are disturbing scenes, indeed.  Political unrest is never a pretty sight, even if it often seems necessary.  There are similar scenes being played out in Caracas, Venezuela. But for some reason that isn't getting much, if any, news coverage

Venezuela is totally overlooked (my wife is Venezuelan), which may simply be because there are no foreign reporters in the country anymore (they're all in Argentina or Brazil).

We're going to a demonstration in London tomorrow.

I hope Ukraine gets peace and justice soon as well.
