Title: Spritz
Post by: Ben_W on March 06, 2014, 10:42:07 PM
Has anybody heard/used this?

This is a pretty interesting concept and I'm not sure what I think but is fascinating to use and does seem to work very well in the few minutes I tried it out. I don't think it beats paper for me but I am a slow reader so maybe I don't like the thought of reading at a pace set by something else!

Yeah, I saw that today as well. Seems pretty interesting and effective for some applications. Still would not use it for when I want to immerse myself in a story or such, but for a lot of things this could be really useful. Would love to give it a more extensive try.

The concept is really interesting. Not sure if its as relaxing as reading from a good old fashioned book though. But could be good for certain things.

I like the idea, but I dunno... don't think it's for me. Their demos on there, I couldn't read them, not to get any sense out of them, even the slowest one!! (And I'm quite a fast reader when I need to be).

I felt like I was racing to keep up rather than taking in any of the sense of the words, no matter what speed it was.

The fact that each individual word is only there for a fraction of a second, so you can't look back or forward..... it actually made me feel slightly distressed.  And it's tiring!

I can't understand why anyone would think reading a novel in under 90 minutes is something desirable.  It's not a race, you're supposed to enjoy it!
