Title: Are BK Tele Piledriver Pickups Potted
Post by: batpuppy on July 04, 2014, 11:09:15 PM
Hi All,

I just bought a Vintage brand V52 Tele-style and love the clean tones on low gain.  However, when I switched to high gain for a practice, the Wilkinsons howled like a banshee.  Since I intend to gig this with my band (indie/pop/punk/rock...Foo Fighters, Green Day, even Metallica's version of Whiskey in the Jar), the Piledrivers seem to be the ticket.  However, this howling is a real pain.  Before I pull the trigger on these great BK's, could someone tell me if they are potted, please?  Can't have any more howling.

Mucho Obligato,

batpuppy

Hi

Yes the Piledrivers are potted so you shouldn't get the same problem.

Thank you so much, Chris R.

I'm really grateful for the response and I'll be placing an order tomorrow.

Cheers buddy,

Besides that, I would consider the BG50's too. They can do these tones easily.
