If I wire my lp with VH2's in the 50's lp style (using .047 mfd caps) will the sound differ much then If I use the wiring that is recomended on the BKP web site?

Sound shouldn't be any different with tones turned up
Tone will roll off more high end frequencies as you dial out the tone controls.
Make sure that the caps are attached to the left hand tag of the vol control and not the centre tag so the tone doesnt change as you roll down the volume

fwiw, I like the 50s style wiring best (even with all the controls up full). I've had explanations as to why it shouldn't sound any different and also to why it does sound different.
The easy answer for me is that there IS a difference for the better - sounds punchier and more 'open' - the tone does get duller as you roll the volume down but it's the tone improvement on full that I want as I play with the volume up full 99% of the time these days.
I've done the 50s wiring mod on both my Les Paul and my Tele - the Tele has the most noticeable improvement (VERY LOUD!)
