Title: Tweed combo removing back panel
Post by: Landis on August 18, 2014, 12:23:19 PM
Sorry for the extremely noob/basic question!

Cornell Romany plus. I assume the 6 screws at the edges are simply securing the back panel? So what are the other 2 screws attached to?
To remove back panel.....remove 6 screws or 8 screws??
Thanks.

Those other two are also screwed into the amp chassis, so you need to take them out too if you want to remove the back:

Fabulous amp by the way. :)

Reminds me of my Peavey Classic 30.

If you ever want to change the speaker I'm assuming that, like the Classic 30, you will have to carefully remove the entire chassis  (on a Peavey this involves an extra couple of screws either side).  I've done it and besides the awkwardness of removing and reinstalling the chassis (I got my father to lend hand supporting it as I screwed/unscrewed it) it was very simple.

Only the tweed, I suppose.

No, I was referring to the way it goes together and the general 'squeeziness' of working in it to change speakers etc.
