Thought you folks might find this interesting/amusing:
The summer of 1994 saw me in my first "real" band, Urshurak. In many ways, my current project, As Follows, is a direct connection back to this style of prog rock.
Anyway, we were a 4 piece; my brother sang and I played guitar and synths as well as wrote all of the music and handled production duties (some things NEVER change lol).
Some of you may recognize the first few minutes of the song it was exorcised of the rest of the tune and concept and made into a stand-alone song when the band morphed into Twilight Odyssey.
Anyway, aside from the few cringe-worthy moments, the piece holds up pretty well.

sounds a bit like Ethel The Frog. Not bad at all for an early piece!

The synth intro was unexpected, but i really liked it! and i thought that riff was familiar. I'll have to get my Twilight Odyssey cd back out.

Thanks for listening and for the feedback!
@ gwem -- yes, definitely a mix between my 2 great loves, prog and NWOBHM! The new AF album follows a similar template but with funk, reggae, chamber music, and some world music thrown into the mix as well!

It's still 1 of my favourite tracks on the TO album!
Odd hearing it not sung by PJ though!

There's some gorgeous guitar playing on here.
