Title: Someone sneaked in and took a dump on my laptop
Post by: Dmoney on September 11, 2014, 10:23:37 AM

Thats right. I woke up this morning to find a U2 lp had downloaded itself into my iTunes on my macbook. How would Bono like it if I went around leaving steamy turds all over his belongings?

But was it any good?  Everyone can appreciate a decent turd.

Poor Bono he's just a big turd trying to find his way in the World.

I read a review saying all the songs sound like re-written versions of their old (s)hits.

I don't have iTunes on my PC so I haven't had the "pleasure" of finding out if that's true.

While you can't polish a turd you can roll it in glitter

The Edge (guitarist of U2 and name of the most played deathmatch map on Quake 2) happens to like using lots of effects, I presume this is the glitter

I don't appear to have been co-opted into this. My iTunes library is bereft of new U2 "product". I don't know whether to be insulted at being snubbed by iTunes, or delighted at not having to spend the time deleting the tracks from my computer. The modern world is so confusing.

I guess all that glitters ain't gold... sometimes it's just The Edge rolling around in glitter.

I too seem to have emerged unscathed from the ebola virus scare   "gift" that was bestowed on me.

Somehow mine auto downloaded. Balls to that - it's gone now.

Sadly quite a few people I know have commented that they can't believe U2 are giving it away for free. Errr, that's because they're not.

Yeah I saw that on twitter earlier, Tom. I thought it was an amusing spoof and announced it as such across the office. One of my colleagues went "no, it's true, I used it last night to get rid of the bluddy thing ...."

Benefit of the doubt here, perhaps Andy saw it on someone else's phone/tablet/device.

Is that right Andy?   :undecided:

hehe... yes, I am one of the twittery folks... #busted

Can't stand facebook, LOATHE it, but twitter seemed to make sense to me. Originally, I joined so that I could connect up with someone I hadn't seen for years and years (and to stalk someone else )

I even have FAMOUS people following me

EDIT: I don't own a "device" though, smart or otherwise - so I'm entirely desktop or laptop bound
