saw this on FB. very cool! the more pickups in the range, the better.

someone had a great suggestion though, it would be awesome if you guys offered white versions of the blackhawk.

Really need a HB range in the SC size option, some neck cavities are SC only.

Maybe it's the long awaited "Number of the Beast"-pickup :)

Kind of looks like an "EMG-Sized" singlecoil, soo maybe something to approach the active SC tone - Lukather/Gilmour

I've been nailing down specs for a parts-caster so am really interested to see where this goes

Black Hawk single-coil, not a rails humbucker for Strats.  That's my assumption anyway.

Tim will be gigging it this weekend to test specs live. It will be a separate set of pickups but will work perfectly as an HSS or HSH with Black Hawk humbuckers.

littleredguitars2, unfortunately we can't make them in white as the material will mark while winding or in the potting process. If we come up with a solution for this then I'm sure we will try it!

James C, the slimmer design is to make sure it will fit any single coil sized mounting hole.

We are very excited here and a lot of the staff are getting their guitars ready for some of these!

Very very cool - when this comes out BKP close a gap in their selection. Hope this is going to be a success.

Cheers Stephan

I can finally buy a set of Blackhawks now that I can have a HSH set without a goofy looking single.

Awesome! I may have to buy one to go in my Caparison TAT Special CL14. I've been looking for something to fit in the neck slot.

That was great news, that’s the segment that BKP lack of: humcanceling pickup in SC format.
I have had problem finding a complement for my Caparison Horus guitars to match the BKP bridge

How does the bridge version compare to the Sinner?  Obviously the Sinner is single coil, but I can imagine them being used in the same type of guitar.

Also, a P-90 sized version of this pickup might find a market, especially if it could replace the mini humbuckers.  Lace are selling mini versions of the Drop & Gain and Nitro Hemi pickups

I very much doubt that this is a humcancelling pickup (could be but I´d be surprised). Don´t be fooled by the double bladed design, the Blackhawk has two blades per coil as well.

So when is this bad boy being released?

I don't really worry if it is hum-canceling or not, the BKP single coils I had were very quiet IMO, plus my Boss NS-2 removed any single coil noise easily.

Well the BKP facebook page just gave them a name: Cobra!

Comes with a cell phone recorded 20sec soundcheck clip which really does not tell you too much.
