Title: Neck pick up for Mahogany
Post by: Duck2587 on September 18, 2014, 01:41:10 AM
I have a Parker all Mahogany guitar. Big and Warm sounding naturally. I am installing a black hawk bridge pick up next week and need a neck pick up to go in as well. From what I read, the black hawk neck pick up may be too warm and "big".

I like a fluid and sparkly neck pick up. I play shred, metal, clean, etc.

A little help and reasons why please.

I am sure many will recommend the Cold Sweat neck. My preference in neck humbuckers is clearly the Holydiver neck as it has less bass and stays clearer under gain.

Cheers Stephan

Cold Sweat's a no brainer for me.  Still meant to be 'the shred neck pickup' and it works better in mahogony.
