Title: NPD - TC Electronics Hall of Fame mini
Post by: gwEm on September 24, 2014, 12:33:40 PM
and here it is with its big brother

actually, i prefer it. the small size is great, its much easier to dial in and sounds just as good.

its toneprint only, i've loaded it with my favourite preset which is 'beyond the stars'

Great buy. It looks significant smaller. TC makes good pedals for nice prices. I use the Sparkboost (4 knob version) and it's really good for a 99 euro pedal.

They do seem to be very nice pedals.

How do you find the two compare? Pros and cons of each?

its pretty much what you'd expect really. they both sound just as good. the larger one is stereo and you have much more control over the sounds. having had the full version for a while now, i eventually always found i had it on more or less the same setting once i'd dialled it in. with the mini pedal the single knob is actually really well thought out - its easier to get the right sound, they've mapped it really well to the parameters on the full version. on the negative side, i do find these mini pedals aren't as nearly stable when you stomp on them, hard to get them to stay flat.
