That's an amazing repair job - a lot of hours labour there, I'd imagine!

Wow. Just wow. So many things there that could have gone awry, but you pulled it off beautifully. I'd have been sweating pretty badly if it were me salvaging that headstock part. I wonder if the guy who did the paint job was singing to himself, "This. Is. The grain fillah."

That is superb work, Jonathan. I love reading restoration stories, it's a breath of fresh air in the otherwise very disposable culture we live in now. And thanks for taking the time to document and write it all up.

Holy cow, that is brilliant. The attention to detail just has me stunned. Let me put on some hats to tip em to you!

I've often wondered about stuff like this - how near to the original feel/vibe did he think it was?

When I saw that guitar, I thought this is beyond any repair. I got to take my hat of for such brilliant craftmanship to give this guitar a second life. Hopefully Richie took a low bow.

Bloody hell.... Just awesome!
-
That was fascinating!
I don't think it was mentioned, but presumably you took measurements to try to get the neck profile as close as possible to the old one?
-
Amazing job there Jonathan- very inventive.
-
Amazing work, and great result. Will you use the carbon rods more in future designs?
-
What a great article. Part of rock history really.
I wish I could do that

having used Jonathan's services quite a few times over the years, i've come to the conclusion that his main secrets are he spends alot of time doing the job properly, and isn't scared to take a more difficult route if the end result is better.
