Would it be possible to make a warpig with a Ceramic magnet is so what would this be like?
-
I'm pretty sure you can order a ceramic warpig. I think it has a tighter bass, sounds a little less organic (than the alnico V warpig), etc., but this is just from hearsay.
-
No problem...........we do it all the time!
-
could you do a Ceramic Warpig even slightly overwound?
like simply the most ridiculously monsterous gain machine man has ever encounterd?

But on a more serious note, I've no doubt that'd sound rather monstrous, well the pig does anyway, prehaps monstrouser?

My friend has a Ceramic magnet warpig in his Ibanez RG3120.
He sais it "Crushes".

Isnt the ceramic WP underwound by a few K to get the same output? (and, presumably, still a cat in hells chance at a clean  )
-
Sometimes and in particular this case, overwinding causes the pickup to have too much compression so it doesn't 'feel' any heavier-over compression can have the opposite effect and make things sound smaller.

oh i see.
