Title: Options to replace a DiMarzio AT1?

Greetings from Spain!

I´ve been using a DiMarzio AT1 in my Gibson Les Paul Joe Perry Signature model (the blackburst one) for a couple of years in the bridge position, and I´m very pleased with it, but recently I´ve been searching for more output, just a little more...

The things I like from the AT1:
- Perfect balance clarity/warmth

The things I miss from the AT1:
- A little more output
- Perhaps a little more presence in the mix, but this is secondary, it´d be a "plus"

Wich pickup/s would you recommend me to get a little more of output without losing the warmth/clarity of the AT1? I´d like a no ceramic pickup, just to retain the "organic" sound...

for what you are asking for from the BKP lineup, I'd go with the Holy Diver...for a several reasons.

That one certainly has the clarity/warmth/organic factor covered. The output however is what concerns me there. The HD is not light, but compared to my experience with Dimarzios...well the thing is that even the high output BKPS seem a tad bit lighter than their counterparts because they are so clear and refined. That essentially eats a bit of gain in the best way possible.

That makes me say yes to something like Holydiver, though I do not know the AT1 at all, but it also makes me want to mention a booster or an overdrive in addition.

How does the alnico Nailbomb compare to the AT1 in terms of tone?  I suspect it is probably the closest, but might be too aggressive and hairy sounding. It will certainly give presence ...

I have played an AT-1 but not in one of my guitars. It has pretty high output and is said to be DiMarzio's take on the Duncan JB. Hence I doubt that the Holydiver would have more output. 

I guess you already experimented with pickup height - setting it a bit closer to the strings may give you the little extra you want.

I'm starting to think maybe a Juggernaut would be a better option here.  The HD is not going to have more output.
