Hey....I haven't posted to this forum in a few years. I'm looking into building a kit, and the pickup I'm most interested in is the Pig90. I was wondering how it would sound with a floyd rose. Would a P90 pup be able to pull off harmonic squeals and floyd rose tricks among that sort? I'm more or less looking to do some sort of shreddable les paul or SG Jr and I've never actually owned a P90 pickup- so im not sure what they are capable of. If a P90 cant be f-spaced, id get the humbucker sized and make it F-spaced....ceramic magnet. Thanks

It will squeal alright, don't worry about that.
Only problem is that it might not be when you want it!
Prepare to invest in some good noise reduction gear.

ahh thanks for the reply man. I was worried it wouldnt be good for whammy related stuff. But im pretty alright with feedback, since i would be playing mainly hardcore and stuff along the lines of Infest and agnostic front and stuff. Feedback would only bug me if i couldnt hear my leads cut through. Now to decide if this'll be a LP Jr or an SG jr....I feel like the SG would lose some sustain with a floyd but im not certain.

You wouldn't be left with much wood if you routed an SG Junior. I have an SG Junior and would not rout it for all the dive bombs in the world
Ever thought about one of those Atreyu LTD Vipers instead? They have a floyd in them and are a bit meatier. You could just leave a blank hole for the neck pickup if that's your thing
