Hi there.. its been a looonnng time since I logged in here so please do excuse me.
I've been trying to find some advice for buying guitar pedals from the EU? I'm in the UK but have seen a bargain on ebay (if it stays low) and I'm wondering if I bid will I have to pay some form of import taxation (or any other obligation)? If so what?
Thanks if you can help! And happy christmas to you all!

If its from within the EU then there won't be any import tax

Its from Austria, just to be clear.

if it's from within the EU there shouldn't be any import tax. I don't think so, anyway- certainly new from a shop that should already be included. Used on Ebay, I'm not so sure.
I don't think so, but don't quote me, kind of thing. I haven't done it myself.

Cheers! I might give it a go if it stays low. Customs can always stop it coming in I suppose.

From anywhere in the EU it's fine, have done it many times. No import tax or anything.

Yup, EU is fine. Anywhere else and over £15 INCLUDING delivery, it's due for duty+VAT. Which is fine though most companies will charge you for the privilege of collecting this from you. If it's the Post Office that'll be £8 + duty + VAT and the f**kers don't even deliver it to you. Also they'll charge you the duty on the full amount, not just everything that's over £15. It's all very annoying...

Well I didnt get a bid in on that pedal in the end. It went sky high after I posted last on here and so was waaaay out of my budget!
Thanks peeps!
