we were thinking camo or maaaybe burnt chrome but we werent sure how well the chrome would sit with a black trem....
what do we think?
theres pics in another thread on here somewhere- ill post the link when i find it.
-

the first pic doesnt do it justice- the second one shows its true colour

I hate to state the obvious, but what's wrong with black?
"Hmm. I have a black and white guitar. I wonder what colours would go with it?" :P Black!!!
-
mines in a parker p38..red with black irish tours....silver trem....black knobs

ooo parkers are cool- how do you find the p38?
lol! yer funny searcher, yer funny! i did mention that but my mate just disregarded it lol...
i was thinking that 'emg' style covers would go well... just plain black kinda covers.... not shiny in the least. gonna try n convince him.
but what other options would work well?
-
black, zebra..sort of eighties look....still think burnt or camo....a bit different looking................parker was a find....bitch to set up...once done a very faithful guitar(cheap second hand)............although changed mind on sound has had s/d, noisless and now bkps
-
oooooh zebras! i hate them but this is one guitar that they might actually look good in!!!!
i love of the look of parkers, especially their take on a telecaster, thinking of trying one.... how much do p38's retail for?
back to pups, yer something different is whats needed, either that... OR go simple and understated yet awesome with plain black.... how 'different' can you get with cases without them looking stupid??
-
just under 400 now.....but would search for a second hand one......give a good set up and put bkp's on it..quite a good solid guitar, fast neck(although need a better set up than stock) but the let down was pickups(unless you buy the model that costs a grand....liked them at first...but now have perfect combo on them(nailbomb and 2 irish/t).....but wouldn't buy new to take to pieces..then again wouldn't buy new again because would always want bkps on my guitars now.....put 2 crawlers on my gib sg
Yeah agree can't go too different...but short of paint job...covers give the guitar you have individuality
-
yer covers can make a huge difference....
i dont think ill ever buy a new guitar again lol.... my gibbo is second hand but it was such good condition i didnt even realise when it was in the shop lol
-
mine was a present a long time ago... but had a few problems....mainly very noisy cr@p pickups...but love it now
-
cool... defiantely gonna try one when i can
-
say usuall gripe is poor setup and pickups...but if cheap second hand...buy one..and put bkp's on*L*
-
will do! lol...
always like the look of em... always wanted to try one as well... but never got round to it.
-
got to admit was atracted by look first...and that they were red.......have three red electrics *L* wasn't plannned that way
-
haha! i take it you like red then lol.... spose you dont see many red guitars...
-
Personally i'd go with black.
While i'm here i've got a question that i might as well ask.
Can the covers be changed on BK's, i've got a camo and really i'd perfer it if it was just open coiled, so can Tim take the covers off? For a small price of course.
