Great forum here and many thanks to all who have replied in the past. About a year ago my LP got a set of Rebel Yells. Been very pleased with the results and the way they basically forced improvement in my playing. So Im soon to add a 2nd LP to my fiddle stable and Im pretty sure I'll go with a Mule set. The question I have is the neck position pup. Honestly the RY neck is by far the best neck position pickup Ive ever owned.
So damn pleased with it my 1st question is a RY neck comparison to the Mule neck ?? Second, how would a Mule bridge and RY neck sit together ??
Many thanks again to the wonderful forum here at BKP's

Why not a mule neck and a riff raff bridge?
I would think a Rebel Yell neck would be quite hot compared to a mule bridge.

Yes after digging around on I had the same thought about it being bit to hot for the Mule. Im thinking something more in the vintage area thus my Mule bridge idea. I gotta say the RY neck is bloody awesome tho. Maybe just do a matched Mule set and leave the "what to put with what" with Tim. Not saying theres any rules as to mixing pups together cause plenty do that with good results Id bet. Black Dog peaks my interest as well so time will tell. Thanks !!

The Mule neck is awesome. Well, the whole set is awesome. No wonder why it's such a best-seller...

Because the Mule bridge is at least as good as the RR ?-)
Ok I know the RR bridge / Mule neck is one of Tim's favorites and I can understand why, but seriously, both the Mule bridge and RR neck are great pups on their own and are great match for their respective neck and bridge.

Indeed.
