Title: Juggernauts + Kemper Profiler + Ibanez RG8 Basswood
Post by: Chargrilled on February 13, 2015, 03:37:43 PM
Cleans + Solo are Juggs Neck, distorted power chords are Bridge. Guitar is a Basswood Ibanez RG8. This is actually an 8-string but not used the low fat string for this one.

The link does not work and your profile says that you have not shared any public sounds. Perhaps a check of settings is in order?

Good stuff! Solid midrange there. :)

Cheers! I didn't mess with the EQ on the Kemper at all, only rolled off at 100 kHz and 7000 in my DAW - I think I might have removed a bit of the punch of the distorted guitars though may re-EQ at 80-90khz roll off

Whenever I feel there's a lack of punch, I turn down the gain and just ram that pick into the same territory that I had before. I've never dealt with a Kemper, but I do use Overloud's TH2 when the timing calls for it, more often than not recently. I usually do put an analog preamp signal in and simply use it for the lower volume and the cab simulation(the George Lynch cab is really good, actually). If I had any critique, or it was my mix, I'd reduce the overall guitars by 1.5-2db and boost a hair in the 1.3Khz range, but.... tastes vary and I did appreciate how solid your tone was as it was shared in the original clip. It's always a struggle when mixing to not fiddle some more.. and a little more.... and then a little more... That being said, I'm also adjusting to new monitors on a new desk in a new room, so take it all with a grain of salt and best wishes.

This is amazing. I just order a bridge juggernaut and was skeptical about it until this clip. I only hope the bridge clean gets pretty close to the neck cleans.

Thanks! For your info the amps used on the Kemper are Rectifier L + R, Diezel down the middle. I actually should have recorded the bridge clean however they sound superb as well
