Hey guys, what do you guys think about your juggernaut pickups. Any pros/cons, your guitars, tonewoods etc. I am thinking about ordering the 7 string bridge pickup

Ok, I definitely will comment on this LOL!
Tone woods: Rock maple neck / rosewood board with a soft maple body / poplar wings. Floyd Rose trem. The guitar is a 25.5 scale 6 string super strat with a balanced / dark sound for a strat. (Still FAR brighter than a Les Paul or a Mahogany guitar) So the guitar is overall a fairly bright and snappy instrument with a decent amount of lows.
I have the Juggernaut calibrated set in the guitar. Generally, the Juggernaut bridge is a dark / phat sounding pickup with a 'hollow' voicing in the mids but still a whole tonne of mids nonetheless. It does have a nice bite in the highs as well.
The pickup can become aggressive when you pick hard and it has plenty of pick attack. But it has a sweetness / soul to the tone so it's not just balls to the wall aggressive, even if it is surprisingly powerful for a passive. The feel is nice, it isn't too stuff but it's also incredibly tight at the same time. The low mids pound with visceral aggression and the lows are present but roll off before the boomy frequencies kick in. I use it in Drop C# tuning (Half step down, drop D) but I can say that the pickup will definitely handle low tunings with ease. For leads, it sounds great across the entire fretboard maintaining thickness and weight even in the extreme upper register. This pickup plus a Mesa Mark V has a positively mind blowing lead tone. It also sounds surprisingly good clean.
I would say that with the overall dark voicing, this pickup is suitable for a very bright instrument that lacks body in the low end. It also would work well with a fairly bright amp. i.e. don't put it in a lump of mahogany instrument like a Gibson Explorer. (The sort of instrument that would take a Nailbomb or a Rebel Yell)
The neck pickup is also awesome and the cleans are unbelievable.
As an overall assessment, I think that the Juggernaut set is possibly the best offering from BKP provided it is in the right guitar. I love the tasteful blend of soul, musicality, and aggression. The pickups are far more than a metal pickup, and I think this a good thing. If you consider that I have 3 guitars, which are all quite different from one another, if I got a 7 string super strat, I'd get Juggernaut 7s for it. That's how much I like those pickups.

Of all the BKP's I've tried, I have to say Juggernauts seem to sound thin in comparison to Warpigs or Nailbombs. I'm completely biased though, as those are 2 of my favorite pickups.

Surley the Juggset is fatter than the Nailbomb.
I have only played the A-Bomb, so i can't really comment on the Jugger's

It would depend on the guitar
If the Jugg has 'hollow mids' I can see how it might sound a bit thin in the wrong guitar

I would say that the Juggs are thinner than Warpigs but phatter than the Nailbomb. The Nailbomb is for a darker guitar whereas the Juggs are for a brighter instrument. Palm mutes positively pound with these things!!

i will also say that the juggs feel a bit fuller than the nailbombs but not by much. overall though the jugg works differently in different guitars. i had one in a les paul custom at one point just to try her out and the thing was very mean. but when i put it in an alder strat it was definitely a bit tamer. i also have one in a 7 string squier strat and it is a beast. fits the guitar very well. not sure what wood its made of. alder i think. but its a great fit. almost went with the warpig.

The Juggerset is the one pickup set that I would consider putting in more than one guitar. They are just THAT good. It almost makes me want a 7 string, just for this specific purpose.

I've been searching for an answer to this for quite a time. I have a 6 string mahogany body with an ebony fretboard. I've been considering putting a Juggernaut in the bridge but would you advise against this? I don't have too much experience in the realm of pickups and have been terribly afraid of purchasing this pickup only to get an overwhelming dark, bass like sound.

What's the overall tonality of the guitar? Dark and phat? Juggernaut bridge is at home in a bright, thin, but balanced sounding guitar. Basswood has a predominance of mids, which is why the 'hollow mid' voicing works so well with this particular pickup.
I think you'd find the following options much more suited to your tastes: Alnico Nailbomb, Rebel Yell, or Painkiller. The aftermath or blackhawk may work too but I'm unsure of these options.

I've been searching for an answer to this for quite a time. I have a 6 string mahogany body with an ebony fretboard. I've been considering putting a Juggernaut in the bridge but would you advise against this? I don't have too much experience in the realm of pickups and have been terribly afraid of purchasing this pickup only to get an overwhelming dark, bass like sound.
I have a Gutierrez that is all mahogany with an ebony board; Juggernauts installed and sound glorious. Keep in mind it is a super strat style, so it is not quite as beefy and deep as an Explorer type.
I wouldn't think it would be overwhelmingly dark in any guitar, but I really embrace the unique tone it delivers (I also have it in a Peavey HP basswood/maple)
