Title: NPD (second time lucky..?)
Post by: herbychimp on February 18, 2015, 09:27:39 PM
Hi - I had been searching for a reasonably priced delay pedal for a while. Firstly I bought a 2nd hand 'Dr Green waiting room pedal' from a local guitar shop. It sounded awful and refused to work in my effects loop so I sent it back. My second pedal is a T-REX reptile (a smaller version of the replica) anyhow it only arrived today and I was anxious to try it so I plugged it into the front of my practice amp (yamaha THR10C) no immediate concerns on clean settings but when I changed to some of the more overdriven amp models (i.e the mini - based on a Dr Z something or other) it became apparent that the pedal was changing the signal and there was no evidence of any overdrive at all. I altered the pedal's level settings to maximum but this didn't make any difference. I am pretty sure that I should be able to get delayed overdriven tones but am I missing something - why is the pedal seemingly reducing the amp's volume and output?
