Title: Can you replace pole piece screws in a pickup?
Post by: EchelonXIII on March 22, 2015, 05:27:42 PM
Hey everyone :D
I've had a pair of Cold Sweat in Brushed Nickel finish for a while now. I got them when I bought a guitar when I bought them from a friend, the pickups in that guitar have long been replaced, and the cold sweats have been sitting in my closet since I had no guitar to put them in. However, I ran into the most amazing Ibanez RGD2120Z a couple of days ago in Cobweb Silver finish, and I think that these pickups will match amazingly with the look of the guitar.

The Polepiece screws however, have a bit of wear. and before I install them I'd like to replace the screws with a pair of fresh chrome ones (if possible).  So my question is: is this possible without damaging my pickups? And if so, what are the best screws to use?

Thanks in advance :)

It is possible, and Ben from BKP even offered me a special postage deal on some screws and gave me advice on how to install them.  I suggest you send BKP an email.
