I'm back!
I finally got around to finishing this after doing a few repairs and moving my man cave & decorating.
It's not as tidy as I would like and I haven't had a chance to dive back in and tidy things up so be gentle!
I aren't going to go into massive amounts of detail because I simply cannot be arsed right now but I'll answer any questions people have.
This amp has an insane amount of gain that is very tweakable across the 3 controls that adjust gain and the two bright switches that also have an effect.
Gain 1 Controls the first gain stage and depending on the position of the bright switch can also adjust the high/low saturation levels. This is also a push pull pot that enables the focus function which cuts low end and reduces saturation giving a drier more modern sound.
Gain 2 controls the signal leaving the second gain stage and again can control high/low saturation levels & shape
On the front panel there is also Era & 2 bright switches the era switch goes from your classic rock plexi ish sounds in the middle position (no diode clipping) to modded 80s jcm800 on the right and modern on the left. This switch is adding in the different diodes for clipping. The bright switches also have 3 settings that affect the gain levels and voicing quite drastically.
The rest is fairly self explanatory.

That looks excellent, I'd love to hear how it sounds. I've seen quite a bit about ceriatone amps over the years, and I'm certainly intrigued. Don't think I'd be up to building one myself though, would have to get that done for me :)

It's a really nice sounding amp. The only parts in this build that aren't from Ceriatone are the transformers as it was cheaper to get the classictones when shipping & Duty was factored in and the headshell & back faceplate.

Nice :D

Cool, the amp has that classic look whilst the attention to detail in the build looks awesome

Great job TK. For me the plexi mode is where it"s at . If i could have another i would like a swithcher that could change between plexi /800 mode with individual volumes. Mine's had a few hundred hrs at good vol. with no probs, original valves and is very quiet .(whitenoise wise). A keeper.
Do enjoy yours.

Your lead dress is very nice. Well done!

Looks amazingly tidy and clean. Those brightswitches make it quite versatile, I suppose.

Thanks guys.

They do add a lot of options tonally. One area that i'm thinking of changing is the focus control as I find it cuts a little too high and boosts extreme high mids so i'm thinking of moving it down a touch.

The plexi mode is extremely fun. With regards to your desires it seems the King Kong is for you!

Can't wait to try it!

Pussy Trimmer ?

Pussy Trimmer ?
It adjusts the level/output going from v1 to v2. Ceriatone describe it as adjusting the amount of hair in the tone and recommend it to be ran at full always. It's a pretty handy control as it really allows you to fine tune the gain & saturation.

Brow came around today and we did a little mucking about. Just single tracks no EQ etc over backing tracks.

Theres another but I need to eat so ill post that one up later.
I somehow got on with Brows R8 too and normally I just don't get along with LP's

Scratch that. Soundcloud has decided to take down we're not gonna take it no matter what I name it.

Send them me and I'll put them in Dropbox and link to them if you want?
Just for the record: They were all 1st takes so excuse my shoddy/shonky playing!
