ok, i saw that you guys sell the strat sets prewired on pickgards, thats great, saves work and keeps my original parts together!
but... do you have example pictures of the differen choises?
like snakeskin and so on?
why go with ordinary white if i have other choises :D

Funny you should mention pickguards. I was about to make a new post.
I found this site: www.sharp-consepts.com
Check it out! If you like unusual pickguards and lots of steel on your guitar
And check out those guitar stands!
You can even have stuff custom made!

Ive got a picture of the tortoise shell scratch plate. I can get an example of the snake skin tomorrow when im at work. I will post that you tomorrow night. We can pre-wire just about anything to a plate, weve done HSH sets, and even a humbucker, p90, p90 one before!

any more pic's?
i meen, there are no examples of the different pickguards in the online shop, but lots of choices for a prewired strat guard..
and im in for one of those......

Heres the Dark black pearloid. We only get to take pics of the differnt ones as we get orders for them, which isn't that often! they do look very nice.
-
So, if I bought some pickups and a pickguard at the same time, you guys at BKP will wire it all up with to noth pots and caps and stuff?
SCHWEET!
Andy!

Here's what the back of the plates look like, all very neatly wired up by Tim, with just 2 wires left for you to solder into your guitar!
-
Heres a couple more. White Pearloid and Snake Skin!
-
Nice! Do you have engine turned pickguards, too?
-
Yes, we can get the engine turned pickguards too. Im not sure on the price though.

I really like the look of that tortoise shell pickguard. Does the foil insulation on the back cover the entire surface or just the pots? I know my Fender does and I'm worried the shielding won't be enough?
Is it the "Tortoise shell" or the "Vintage Tortoise shell" that you've pictured?
Also are the volume and tone pots 250k? I really use my tone and volume alot and need the same variation in the pots.
I have some pickups that were bought from Bare Knuckle's right in their early days and had them custom made. I believe they would be the most similar to the Irish Tour pickups. I recently put the orginal fender pickups in and they just lack power, clarity and sweet tone. The Bare Knuckle's easily kicked arse. Needless to say... the Bare knuckle's are back!
Thanks,
Steve

The Crawler/Irish Tour/Irish Tour set I have in my Fender Strat was wired up by Tim and it's a VERY neat and tidy wiring job, can't fault his work at all :)
-
Out of curiosity, will the pickup heights be spot on for a pre-wired guard? I hate having to adjust the heights, having a pro do it before I get a chance to wreck it is worth the extra cash.
-
I can't imagine any way to do that without the pickguard being on the guitar. And even then, pickup heights are a "personal" thing, recommended specs will only get you int he ballpark.
Since it's an easy job, why not do it yourself?
-
Because I hate having choice  I know how to do almost all techie things on a guitar, it's just getting them right I struggle.
Time to make friends with a "proper" guitar tech then.
