I looked at the wiring diagram for 2 Mississippi queens but I'm still a little confused. It's going in a hh 2 tone 2 vol.
it's got 3 wires a white a black and a bare. I believe I got the screen(for phase issues)how would I wire this up?

Black and bare are ground and white goes to the volume?

Yes I believe that you wind the ends of black and bare together and solder them to ground, unless you are fitting some kind of series/parallel or phase switch, in which case the separate black and bare are supposed to facilitate that somehow.
From BKP FAQ:
2 conductor + screen provides the start and finish of the coil and a separate ground making it easier for series or parallel connections with more than one coil while braided 2 conductor has a single internal conductor and the braided jacket is effectively the other conductor and used as ground.
