Title: Faith No More using Nailbomb?
Post by: darkandrew on June 07, 2015, 12:57:35 AM
I was in HMV today and a track from the new Faith No More CD came on over the store's sound system and I'm sure I recognised the distinctive rasp of a Nailbomb (another recording that is full of raspy Nailbomb goodness is the Fields of the Nephilim "Ceremonies" live CD and DVD).

Apparently so ... what little I heard sounded quite good as well.

Hey Mods:  Punch this guy in the face, please?

I love FNM.  I think Jon Hudson aka Not-Jim-Martin-or-Trey-Spruance is still using the same wine red Les Paul he did in the mid-late 90's; I can't tell from live pics what pickups he's using.

There's too much Patton and not enough guitar on Sol Invictus.

Interesting.  Someone said recently that they saw FNM playing some songs with Chuck Mosley relatively recently (he rejoined them for a few songs or something) and it was dreadful. I would be surprised if the rest of the band was bad though.  Singers voices can cr@p out on them as they get older

His voice was cr@p when he was young.  Introduce Yourself sounds like a kickass band firing on all cylinders but Chuck sounds like he had a sinus infection and just took a handful of uppers and downers.
