Hija,
I was wondering whether it's possible to have a poti to blend between Humbucker and Single Coil sound. Quite simple idea, just blending away one of the humbuckers' coils until only one coil is audible.
Ideal scenario would be to only use one tone pot on my les paul as master tone, and convert the other tone pot to the single coil blender, to blend both humbuckers to single coil. Maybe even have a push pull pot to switch between inner and outer coils. Pickup switching would remain on the usual rhythm/treble 3way switch.
What is important for me is, that the "full on" setting of the poti would be identical with the usual humbucker sound.
Does anyone have the expertise to be able to tell me what kind of poti would be the right one for this and whether there is kind of a diagram for this type of wiring?
Is it at all possible? Would the blended sound actually behave like a single coil?
Thanks for any feedback!!

Its not exactly what you need but this shows how to convert a tone pot to blend a humbucker to single coil and back again. I'm not sure how it would need to be wired to affect both humbuckers though. Maybe someone with a better working knowledge of pickups wiring can help out there though.

Just remember the colour coding on the wiring diagram is for Seymour Duncan pickups.

Thanks a lot, this helps ... because it's the right diagram and as well as I can see I'm not the only dude with such an idea ... :?
