Pretty excited about this combo in a Warmoth Strat I'm putting together. Looking forward to the build and hopefully some new, inspired recording sessions.
Are any of you using 300K Ohm pots in your HSS guitars? I have been using the Suhr wiring diagrams for my past few builds, where a super switch is used to show single coils 250K of resistance and humbuckers 500K at the volume pot.

Never used 300K pots. Like you I'm on the Suhr-track with HSS-guitars. I hope you gonna like that. It's going to be fairly bright, although the VHII has good mids and quite some bass for a vintagehot pickup.

Man, now I'm worried that the VHII will be too bright!

It was designed for Superstrats, so donīt be too worried mate.^^

With 300k pots the humbucker will be less bright, the singles a tad less bright.
I meant bright, compared to something like the Crawler and Abraxas, but the topend of the VHII is not shrill. There's just more presence, but the VHII performs well in strats and you can really steer the VHII with your pickingattack. Dig in and it screams.
