Greetings friends!
I've got a Mule neck in my 2013 Traditional but I'm thinking of switching it out for a P90. Had the mule in my custom and it sounded better there, I've since sold that guitar unfortunately lol!
The Mule Neck was much fuller sounding but cleaner at the same time in my custom, which was ebony board and 11 lbs vs my trad, rosewood board and 9.5 lbs. By comparison it now sounds a bit duller and thinner sounding in my traditional.
Liking the Nantucket based off the sound clips, anybody care to weigh in?

I like P90's in the neckposition. Due to the big coil they always sound full.

P90s are glorious imho, especially in the neck. Since they have the SC attack paired with the HB fullness they can do a lot. Then, if you match em properly they also can do screaming if you want, and a unique singing if you just dial down the controlls a bit. My MQ neck, very similar to the NT, does shreddy, bluesy, classic rock, jazz, etc....
It is literally the most versatile pickup in my collection.
Question though is what you have in the bridge there. Just of balance reasons a Blue note could be better depending on the bridge.

Have both MQ and mule necks in similar PRSi, both great but quite different. One thing i found from forum and trial and error was the mule can be quite height sensitive, maybe the different guitar needs it raised a little bit to match the other
MQ is great, stockholm is 2 steps above in range, but as if on a logarithmic scale, darker and stronger
Think you can order hb p90s with a tap to have a different tone available too, which you may be interested in

I've spent some time adjust the mule and I don't know if I have any more ground to gain there, current setup seems to be best case scenario for my ears. Never heard about that tap option before tell me more!
