two new pedals arrived over the last few days, and I'm very pleased with both of them.
First, there was this...

which opened up to reveal this

I thought for a long time about this before deciding to take the plunge, it's not a cheap pedal! Every reaction I've seen has been overwhelmingly positive though, so I decided to go for it. And so far, I'm glad I did! It sounds phenomenal! It doesn't sound or feel like a pedal, it really is like playing through an amp. It can do very good pushed clean sounds, and it has absolutely colossal amounts of gain. I've only scratched the surface yet, with it's gain range and it's very powerful EQ, there are a lot of sounds in there.
And then there is pedal 2. A few years ago, Home Brew Electronics brought out a Paul Gilbert signature pedal called the De-tox. The idea was that you plugged it into an overdriven single channel amp, and when you hit the pedal you could clean up your sound. Unlike just lowering your volume, it also had EQ controls. Well, it seems HBE has gone, and the pedal is pretty much impossible to find.
And then this was announced...

As it says, they call it an Underdrive, and it really works! As well as having a bit more sparkle than just lowering your volume, it's also instant, which is great :) And it works nicely with the Orange too.
So, two very excellent pedals. The Bax Bangeetar is expensive, and I believe it's a limited run product, but I have to say it seems worth the money.
I'd recommend the Orange Evo Underdrive to anyone that uses a single channel amp, or even multi channel amps to add another sound. I think it would be good with something like a DSL to use the crunch on the green channel and still get a clean tone.

Uhhhh, cool and interesting pedals. Both of them. Congrats mate!
Look forward to hearing more about them once you get some more playtime in.

I'm late to the party but I'm going through a rig shakeup at the minute and I'm very interested to see what you think of the Underdrive as its exactly the effect I need for my rig idea to work! :cheesy:

Nice!
That underdrive is an excellent idea!

Hey Brow. The underdrive pedal does work very well, on any amp where lowering your volume cleans up your sound. You can set it to get a crunchy rhythm sound from a lead channel, or a fairly clean sound from a crunchy amp. I've always used my volume knob, but sometimes I also used a volume pedal with the minimum volume set to the point I wanted, and that works well too. The advantage the underdrive has is that you can also EQ it to suit the cleaner sound, and taking out some mids cleans it up more. It really is a very cool little pedal!

Thanks for the info.
I'm going from using my Splawn to my SLO for a while and getting a clean tone from the SLO is why I'm interested in this.
Strangely enough I used to have an endorsement with Homebrew Electronics and I never got the appeal of the De-Tox at the time. But it's just what I want now!

Great buys! That Bax Bangeetar is really something (fortunately I have the RV50).
