At least it came quickly for him, rather than lingering in pain.  Sad to see him go though.

I was a bit cut up by this yesterday. But on reflection, as Phil says, it was quick for him and also he lead a very full and interesting life.

Sad to see him go, and Motorhead will always have a very special place in my heart.

you could see it coming for a while, his health had been declining.  But yes, he lived exactly the live he wanted, and by all accounts he approached his death with dignity and the same devil may care attitude he gave his life.  He was a constant in our rock world, and he'll be sorely missed and fondly remembered.
