Title: Why aren't black bolts offered across the range?
Post by: Chargrilled on January 07, 2016, 03:37:59 PM
Black bolts look so mean, I was wondering why they aren't offered across the pickup range as it's an aesthetic thing as opposed to sound related?

Cheers!

Some claim they affect tone as well. I'm not sure what BK opinion is regarding this though?

Chris said they have a minor effect on tone.  If I'm understanding him correctly, it is less appreciable than covers vs no covers.

There is a very subtle difference between bolts and fillister pole screws dues to the material they're made from and the head dimensions.

We offer bolts as an option wherever we can and we'll always try our best to accommodate any request.

What is this difference out of interest, loss of higher end clarity which is possibility not as important in metally distortion pickups like Warpigs or Juggs?

Would you guys do 'em on request - how for example would they effect Holy Divers?
