Title: Too different volume levels between crunch & clean channels
Post by: one on April 27, 2016, 09:16:10 AM
A question for you, BKP owners. I have a cold sweat and c-bomb in my last axe and the distorsion channel in my amp sounds a lot louder than my clean one. It's only with that guitar. When I use the other ones, let's say, I have them even with Crunch channel 3,5 and clean at 3, but when I pick up this one, I have the crunch at 3,5 and the clean must be at 6.

A problem of wiring, pickup height or any other factor I missed?

I am a bit at a loss. Only thing I could think of remotely right now is that that guitar has specific frequencies that come out in the distortion. But that seems odd too, so not really any idea. Mabye it has to do with compression. Being that that guitar should have little due to the BKPs, so when compression from distortion is applied that makes the difference seem big. Dunno.
