Title: Miracle Man - quick rhythm test
Post by: fdesalvo on June 13, 2016, 08:33:30 PM
This is what I was hoping for - a balanced high output pickup that can do mid-heavy thrash tones with excellent string separation.  Here's a quick track where I threw some moderate gain at the MM bridge.  It also does the uber-tight/scooped thing exceedingly well, but I love mids.  Hard to believe this is only two tracks.  I generally quad track to achieve this level of thickness.

Sounds great, modern but not clinical or scooped  :) still has that clarity under gain as well. what guitar is it in? I've been interested in trying one for my SG for a while, hear it sounds pretty good in it!

Thank you, my dudes.  It's sitting in my Warmoth Tele!  COmpletely outed my Abraxis/63 combo for the time being hehe.  I've got a shreddy guitar inbound that has some DiMarzio Gravity Storm pickups installed in them, so I'll give it a run for a bit and decide where to go from there.  The Abraxas and 63 may find themselves a home in it if the GSs don't blow my hair back.  I've never been a huge DiMarzio fan to be honest, but I'm open to having some new tones at hand.

Cheers!
