Title: Dragon II replacement.

What pickup is best suited to replace a Dragon II on a PRS custom 24?

Im thinking somewhere within the same vicinity as the original pup, maybe a bit more metal.

The Dragon bridge is a ceramic magnet, so a Cold Sweat or Miracle Man would be the obvious choice..... But I actually think that you might like the VHII sound - I have them on an Artist and they work great.

I also replaced my original Dragon with the Alnico Holy Diver in a PRS Standard 24 and I love that sound, but it is more of a rock sound than a metal sound TwighlightOdyssey did a compare of the VHII and Holy Diver (http://bareknucklepickups.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2112) (ignore that it says Rebel Yell - this is a long story!).

No No - there is no ceramic Holy Diver anymore!   Tim has been working with Steve Stevens on revoicing the HD with Alnico V magnets.  There are 2 new versions, one will be the Rebel Yell, the other the Holy Diver.
