Title: Long legs or short for Suhr Classic Pro
Post by: johnny_rock_it on July 16, 2016, 05:03:02 PM
I have a Suhr Classic Pro HSS and I am looking to do a pick up change of the bridge. The bridge sounds ok, but it is not my cup of tea. Currently has a DSV but I want something more powerful like a Rebel Yell.

Just wanted to confirm with someone before I go ahead with my order. I believe the correct spacing and legs are 53MM with short legs?

Thank you.

Best thing to do would be to lift out your pickup and have a look, but that sounds likely

That's what I was thinking as well.

Does your guitar have a pickguard? If yes, short legs are the safest route - they will always fit. With a direct to wood mount it's best to measure.

Most of the Suhr guitars have bridges with an F-spacing, so 53mm would be the way to go. But - when in doubt, measure.

Cheers Stephan

Thank you all for the information.

I ordered a bridge Holy Diver in 53 mm with short legs last week.

Also bought some Jensen Bare Knuckle caps--I am itching to get them into my Suhr.

Not 100% sure I can fit those huge Jensen caps into my Suhr, but I'm willing to give it a try.
