Title: Ibanez mini analog delay vs Mooer Ana echo
Post by: gwEm on August 12, 2016, 10:24:05 AM
Anyone tried either of these mini analogue delay pedals? Any thoughts? Any thoughts? Any thoughts? Any thoughts? Any thoughts?

I have the Mooer. It's pants! For the money, go with a mini TC.

The mini is great for the price. I just love the lush analog vibe.

A while ago I bought the Maxon AD-9 Pro, because it's so good sounding and very quiet. And it has two modes. The voice is just like my old AD9, which I love, just quieter. The Maxon also does very well in front of your amp. It doesn't interfere much with my drivechannel too. But, it's not a cheap pedal. Quality has it's price.

I like the idea of slashing my pedal board size with these mini pedals.

I have an MXR Carbon Copy and a 'Grand Bleu' delay made by John on here. I'm delighted with them both, though each has a different flavour.

When Ben says the Mooer is pants, I believe him and I'll stay away.

The Ibanez mini AD does look like the option indeed. I'm sure the TC mini delay is good, but it's digital so I suppose quite power consumptive. I'm planning to use a battery pack to power everything.

Telerocker - have you tried the mini version? I'm sure the full sized one are great.

Yeah, it's close to my old AD-9 and a no-brainer if you like that type of analog delay. I just don't like the petite knobs on stage.

I have an MXR Carbon Copy. It is a good pedal, small enough, and works well with gain like all MXR pedals.

mooer pedals are great
I wasn't a fan of the ibanez ad9 I had, though
delay was way too short
I loved the carbon copy, but it was too dark for my needs

I use a lot of rhythmic delay, rather than for solos, so a boss dd-3 or dd-6 works better for me most of the time
I also have a visual sound H2O when I need more blurriness

Yeah the Carbon Copy is good for solos.

I am looking to do a trade of some unwanted gear for a DD-7 tomorrow, very nice when you need a brighter delay

If I really needed the room I'd go for one of these Flashback Minis:

If you have the money and room though it's EarthQuaker stuff every time ... the Afterneath is amazing!
