I recently picked up a MIM Fender Tele Standard HH.
It has just some no model fender wound humbuckers (they're normal buckers, not wideranges). They're not to great. Alder body, bolt on maple neck and board.
I was gonna buy some bare knuckles. I'm playing prog influenced metalcore, kinda "djenty" stuff. Lots of riffs, lots of big chords.
I need clarity, punchy, tight, djenty and purry sounds. I want some versatility in them as well.
I have the Juggernauts in my JP6, they're pretty cool, but the low mids are overbearing to my ears and I wana try something different.
I love the tones from Periphery, Architects, and The Safety Fire.
I was looking at the Rebel Yell/VHII and The Impulse. I was also looking at the Aftermath, but I'm afraid of it getting too Ice Picky.
Any Ideas? Any one try the Impulse or RY/VHII?
Thanks guys!

I'd definitely be looking at the Impulse set, but I haven't heard anything about it in Telecasters.
Here's a video of it in a Les Paul.

Guitar World have done one too with a Les Paul.

wouldn`t Impulses be too bright? So far they`re only associated mostly with darker LPs.

Well that would rule out the Rebel Yell too

I think that the safety fire use the Holydiver (b) / VHII (n) combo in their HH Wirebird Teles, so that may be a good option?

As someone else who owns a Tele HH and is interested in new pickups and for a similar style, I'm watching.
Painkiller?
