I replaced the hardware with a bunch of nickel stuff, changed the pickguard, and fitted a Boss/Slowhand set
Feline changed the nut and drilled the body for the new Barden bridge.
I like it alot, sounds like a Tele. I was hoping it'd be good for slide, and it is. I'd like to try a set of Country Boys now to really bring that twang out.

Nice

Looks good. Yes Country Boys are a great choice.

That looks killer!

Love it gwEm. A stratpickup in the neck a tele is anyway a good idea.

Nice one!
I'd forgotten my Country Boys!! lol (or, the guitar with them in, anyway, there's been too many p90 guitars arriving, might even have missed a NGD).
We've been away for a few days - perhaps I ought to get the teles out to celebrate my return home :)

Thanks for the comments gents.
The Tele is getting alot of play at the moment. Right now I really look forward to coming home and playing a bunch of slide on it.
Speaking of Country Boys, I've been listening to a bunch of Albert Lee - my days hes a jaw dropping player!
I'd like a 'total vintage' Tele for the Country Boys, with V neck, maple board, blonde or paisley, bakelite black guard, reliced.. the works.

I was giiging last night and used my Apache laden Strat for the first set and my Country Boy Tele for the second. I never tire of the great tones . Like everyone else, it would seem, I am always hunting for new stuff and I love the thrill of the chase, the novelty of having a new toy etc, but having had these pickups for years now, that says more than any of the superlatives I could come up with.

Looks great :) I think a tele is next on my list!
