Title: Nantucket & Blue note Balance
Post by: murray on October 23, 2016, 08:16:36 AM
Hi folks

First post here but been secretly lurking for a while.

I've been looking into upgrading my tokai r4 pickups and have been pretty much sold on the Nantucket bridge and Blue note neck.  The only thing that worries me is potential for output miss match.  Although I like the idea of a hotter bridge I would like to avoid a big jump between pickups.

Any advice?
Cheers

What guitar are you putting it in?  If it is a Gibson, especially an SG, I'd say don't worry about it, you'll be fine. SGs tend to need more bridge output relative to the neck

I'm guessing it will be sweet.

There is a video of the Nantucket / Blue Note combo on YouTube, not a Gibson but very encouraging!

You'll be fine - I've got a 7-string with a Supermassive bridge and Blue note neck and it works perfectly well, no problems with output mismatch
