I have the Holydiver in all my guitars except one, it's an Adrian Smith USA Jackson San Dimas alder body with a rosewood fingerboard Charvel neck. I've had the HD in it before and it sounds good, but this guitar is a little on the thin side, it projects well, but the resonance is a bit "hollow" if that makes any sense. Also, I'd just like to try something other than Diver.
So I'm thinking on trying the Crawler or Warpig in this to beef it up. To me the Warpig seems like a much more saturated and bass-heavy HD, while the Crawler seems like a beefed up Black Dog. I play mostly metal/hard rock. What would you recommend? I think the Warpig is closer to the HD in style, so it might sound similar while giving the beef I want, while the Crawler would be a bit less output but bigger sounding, I can't really decide.

The alnico version of the Warpig will certainly give you the beef and resonance you are looking for. I have one in an SG and it sounds really heavy, a lot of bottom end. It sounded pretty thin with the stock 490R/490T set

I can only give a comparison between the HD and the Crawler since I have never played a Warpig. Both are about the same output but the Crawler is warmer and slightly darker, and the midrange focus is in a lower spot.

The Crawler is bigger sounding than the HD, due to the huge (lower)mids.
