The Warpig absolutely smokes the Crunch Lab, in every conceivable way. We are a BKP and DiMarzio dealer, but its just true. The output is comparable, but the clarity, tightness, dynamics and overall tone is night and day. Go with the Warpig, specifically the ceramic version. What guitar do you have?

Jackson Soloist, nato body, maple neck thru, rosewood fretboard, floyd rose. And i was actually leaning towards the alnico. Why ceramic?

Because it sounds better in a Jackson Soloist. We've installed 100s of Warpigs in guitars just like yours and the results are always incredible. The ceramic one is still warm and punchy with huge mids, but its a bit more aggressive and tight with increased note definition. You cant go wrong with the C-Pigs. Of course the neck pickup is alnico regardless.

Pros and cons of both? And I really don't like alnico in the neck. Too muddy/warm

All BK neck pickups are alnico, except for the Painkiller neck.

The Warpig neck is a stunning pickup. Shockingly good clean tone, and, surprisingly, warm enough for jazzy applications.

Prog Metal?  Juggerset!!!  Pros:  Great clean, great high gain rhythm tones, great lead tones, many split options / switch positions sound good clean.  Sounds good across entire guitar.  Powerful, articulate, crushing, responsive.

I LOVE them so much I have them in a six string and a seven string guitar.

I listened to demos of the juggernaut and wasnt a fan to be honest. To me the warpig's tonal character just blows away everything. Just in a dilemma between the ceramic and the alnico. Anyone know what guitar they use for sound clips?

Personally, I'd go with the AV Warpig for a few reasons. Firstly, the tone of alnico pickups is generally superior so unless you need something seriously tight sounding and you're prepared to sacrifice some tone to achieve that, a good alnico pup gives the best results in my experience. The other reason is that maple neck-thru guitars tend to be quite middy so the fact that the A-Pig has slightly less mids than the C-Pig actually works in your favour in that guitar. Finally, I think you'll find that the A-Pig is a bit more versatile.

As for the neck pickup, ceramic neck pickups are very rare and I don't think I've ever heard of anyone going with an alnico bridge and ceramic neck, however, if you do want ceramic in the neck, yopu do have options. Obviously using a Painkiller neck is one option as that's just the way it's made but if it was me, I'd get a Miracle Man bridge model and just put that in the neck. The Miracle Man is the number one option for maple neck-thru guitars because it suits that construction perfectly so there's no reason why it shouldn't be equally good in the neck position. You'll get a tighter tone that certainly won't be muddy in any way but the tone is seriously impressive and I don't usually like ceramic pickups.
