Cheers to all, new member here
I have a 2012 Fender Blacktop HH Telecaster with a Alder Body and Rosewood neck
Upgrades so far are hipshot bridge and new 500K pot for the single volume and tone control with .022 cap
I am now concentrating on upgrading the factory the pickups
Looking to keep the pups in the somewhat vintage output range
My first choice is a Mule set
My second choice is Mule neck, Riff Raff bridge
Any recommendations or suggestions would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

I love Mules and I think that's a better option than a RR-bridge that could be quite bright in alder with a 500k pot.

Thanks Telerocker, I suspected the Riff Raff may be bright, for the bridge in a alder guitar

The Mule is a great all round pup, should balance nicely in your guitar.
The Abraxas if you want more mids

Thanks Darren, the Abraxas is supposed to be based off the Mule, but overwound almost twice the strength in the 14k range.
I once tried a friends HH Strat that had the Duncan JB in the bridge back in 80's, I think those are in the 16K range.
I will probably stick with the Mule set for more vintage output, would love to try a guitar with a Abraxas some day.

Don't worry, Mules can handle enormous amounts of gain. If you want to slam the preamp , use a boost-pedal in front.
