Title: Riff Raff neck, RR users, help!

Hi, I need some RIFF RAFF neck users to give me some help.

How bright is Riff Raff neck? Apparently it`s the brightest BKP neck model, but is it as bright as people say?

I don't know, but if you want brighter you could always install a series/parallel switch.  I find that the Nailbomb neck is almost too bright in parallel mode.  And I discovered this after removing the tone control from my Explorer!

The Riff Raff neck is bright for a PAF and it may indeed be the brightest neck humbucker BKP make. What it is not/does not (because it is not intended to):

- does not sound like a single coil
- is not as bright as a vintage type Firebird pickup
- is not as bright as a vintage type mini humbucker
- is not as bright as a vintage type wide range humbucker
- does not sound like a vintage type P90

So for a bright PAF-like humbucker tone it is a good choice. For anything brighter/tighter or sounding like the things I mentioned it is not the best choice.

Please note that my settings here are pretty bright too, i forgot to turned down the presence, as its a rhythm preset actually, just added with delay and reverb.

My opinion, its not as bright as people think. EQ wise i just don't notice how bright it is, at least its not annoyingly so. It's just have this responsive, single coil-like pick attack that i really like, but its beefy enough as a humbucker in the right place. If you like super round, fat, tubular sound, RR might not be for you.

thanks. I`ve seen all of your videos with that Skeversken guitar hundreds of time. Tell me this, in most of them when you`re soloing, you`re using RR? Under videos you don`t specify which pickup is in use.

Anyway, how does RR behave under hi gain for faster solos? Would you be able to record some clip with hi gain playing more 'shredy' things?
How does it sound with Juggernaut bridge?
