Hey guys,
just as I'm typing this I'm about to go get an empty, used Marshall JCM 900 1960s B Cabinet. Dude is selling me the empty housing for 100 bucks and threw in a pair of Celestion G12T-75s for additional 80 Euros. I have two used Celestion V30s on their way to me, so I'm happy I'll finally get to put a cab together for the first time.
Now of course I have a few questions as this is a first for me: Where can I find wiring diagramms on how to connect the speakers to the mono/stereo jackplate on the back of the cab? Are there any specific things I should keep in mind like sealing the cab with silicone when I'm already having it opened, should I get a certain kind of wire in order to improve the sound? And most important question: Should I do the X-pattern, seeing as it is a very popular choice or should I put one type of the speakers in the bottom and the other on top?
It's gonna take one to two weeks before I have the time to do this, so help is more than welcome! :azn:
Cheers!
p.s.: all 4 speakers are rated at 16 Ohms.

I used to buy old, beat up, marshall cabs and together with a friend, we would strip them down and refinish them.
Great fun! Getting high with a friend on contact adhesive fumes.............lol
But the price he is asking for a cab beat up this bad, is waaaaaayy to high

Definitely. If it was a bargain, I'd have a go at fixing it up. Not for that price!

Yeah, it was a kinda impulse decision to text the dude in the first place. Then I saw the picture and remembered I still have an ENGL Savage that needs to be fixed so I'm better off saving the cash.
