Hi, guys!!! I have a 7 string baritone.
I want to swap the pickups.
It's mahogany body, bolt-on maple neck.
What do you think about c-pig in this guitar?
I play death metal. My favorite band is Cannibal Corpse.

It depends, BKPs change a lot from guitar to guitar. I also have a baritone 7 made of mahogany which bass end (in theory) should go wrong with the extreme bass response (though tight) of the WP. That's why I ordered something more trebblish like the NB. After almost a year using the NB in my band, I couldn't resist more and gave the WP a chance. I can't be happier at the moment. But also bear in mind that it depends quite a lot on your amp too. My is trebblish as hell. What are you going to use?

I don't know about the Diezel, but the JCM800 is very bassy, maybe the Cpig is a bit too boomy for it, dunno. I love it though

I would possibly try the Painkiller first, given that it is a baritone guitar.  The C-Pig could be too bassy

Painkiller..hmm..

I heard it's similar to duncan sh-6. Am I right?

I wouldn't say so... Duncan Distortion is (basically, not exactly) a JB with a ceramic magnet.

IIRC, the Painkiller was inspired by this: https://youtu.be/nM__lPTWThU
Tipton was playing EMG 81's at that point, I believe,.

The PK sounds like this in a Les Paul: https://bareknucklepickups.co.uk/main/downloads/soundclips/humbuckers/contemporary/painkiller/painkiller-modern_metal.mp3
Cutting, edgy, yet a lot of tight tight low end.

By comparison, the C-Pig in the same guitar with the same signal chain sounds like this: https://bareknucklepickups.co.uk/main/downloads/soundclips/humbuckers/contemporary/warpig/ceramic_warpig/ceramic_warpig-modern_metal.mp3

They'll both sound a bit brighter in your guitar, with the maple bolt-neck and longer scale. I don't have any experience with your amps, but just pickup->guitar, for Death Metal, I'd lean C-Pig. On the other hand, a mahogany baritone 7 with a PK set is my absolute wishlist of a guitar. ;)

As an aside: holy cr@p, Judas Priest's Painkiller STILL holds up after all this time! Whoo! :D

I thought c-pig would too bassy and overpowering in les-paul.

But, clip sounds damn good!!

I think I should send a mail to Tim and get an advice.

Thanks!
