Title: For Oasis fans with too much money
Post by: Kilby on April 07, 2006, 01:51:56 PM
For fans of Oasis and unusual guitars (I only really go for the latter) there something to buy.

it's the Model 331LS "Lightshow" unfortunitely it's not the slanted fret version :( (not that I could afford it anyway). Though the Tom Petty it McGuinn models I would love to get.

bone heads ricki's were at the guitar show i went to in manchester last year, i don't know about that particular one but some of them were pretty rare models. wouldn't fork out just because he owned them though, not in a million years, even though i do like oasis...

I have always liked the looks of Rics and those I have played were always quite nice to play. The other guitarist in my band has a 360 and I love it.I was always lead to believe that they were no good for lead but he does fine. Interesting post- now if one of George Harrisons Rics came up for sale, I'd gladly send Mrs 38th out on the streets to help get me one.

Never a fan of Oasis (though I think Liam is a great frontman), as I keep on hearing whole sectons of other bands songs dropped into their songs (such as Mott the Hoople, Beatles, Kinks and many others), If I wasn't so old I probably would like them a lot more.

Theres a Ric show on on April 30 in the Aston Villa ground.

Hehe, Rics can do almost anything, you may just have to put a little more effort into it ;)

The Ric 380 is a much more 'normal' instrument than the others, and gives a great rock tone from it's humbuckers (even heard some great jazz tones too) and even better with the piezo loaded bridge.

In saying that I think I will have to do something about the neck pickup on mine (if my expenses ever turn up), as it's much too dark for me.
