OK,
well NOW am told the Carbon Blue Pearl is actually "on order" (one without inlays that is), which kinda pisses me off as that was not pointed out to me so, lets open this RIGHT UP.

Different supplier but still VERY respected, just $40 more on average.

Has EVERY one of these in stock.

So.....................?
Now?

BTW, Petrucci 6 string, no others :)

I would have to go with the mystic dream.....looks very nice imo.

damn I just voted candy apple red, then saw buttercream, which looks better. I'd say go for buttercream..

from the ickle pictures i'd say desert gold, but i too think that buttercream one on the case looks fantastic, gives it a kind of modern/vintage blend

yeah, veering to Buttercream again myself.
I wanna try for NORMAL not JP inlays though.
I have no taste for Sig. stuf and JP inlays is more than I really wnt on a guitar, oh well, suck and see.
Pics are hard but I think the colour is just like aged binding (like on a Les Paul etc., is on mine anyway) and the case is worth more to me as hate the SKB one.
Also, original dealer is obviously not sure of his stock/prices as I DO my homework and found his prices have differed (well have 1 example asked him about) and he did'nt even know how many/type of Carbon Blue Pearl he had this morning.
Oh well, it continues :)
Next week, cash in hand to buy though, so keep HELPING :)
BTW, Mystic Dream is abit pointless as not paying extra $350 for JP's sig. colour.

All those pics realy do say get the buttercream model to me. Especialy if you are not interested in the idea of it being a jp sig as its realy a colour which takes the guitar away from that imo.

Gota agree with going with normal inlays. The jp inlays are rather tacky to my eyes.

Want it with dot inlays though which is tough!
They no longer make this model colour and am trying to deal with a shop that still has em in stock :)

Thats what I reckon anyway.
Already got GOOD price, but did'nt know they had a normal dot inlay one (JP inlays are about $150 qouted upcharge) so wanna new price with dot inlays :)

Not to start, it has to join the line LOL

Les Paul has first dibs (Mule or Cold Sweat)

Then Axis (Painkillers..........when ready :)).

JP6, as it blends piezo etc. need to play it alot and see what I think before getting into pickup replacement.

If had to guess right now I would think maybe MM or maybe oh heck..... dunno, gotta get it and find it's personality first, introduce myself and all that, get the mojo going :)

Went with the Buttercream (I prefer to call it "vintage") Dave, as it is instock,rare (not that that matters to me but 38thBeetle has a point) looks very un-petrucci :) and is spec. I wanted. Not to mention MUCH prefer the limited case, those SKB's are my pet hate with my Axis.
